Upon opening a workbook, the worksheet appears, then, immediately, one
column (it happens to be the last used column to the right) flickers
and all the data in it disappears and the column width reverts to the
default. Any idea what is causing this.

Is this a workbook that you created, or a workbook created by someone else?
It could have a macro in it that is causing this to happen.

Check the header letters at the top of the sheet to see if they are
consequtive. If not, there is a macro hiding the column.

When you open the Workbook keep the shift key pressed.

See if that helps.

I'm back. I tried opening the workbook while holding the shift key.
That didn't work.
The workbook was created and is used by others and it is a shared
workbook.
I unshared it and opened the VBE to see if there was a macro causing
the problem but there was none there. Sooooo, what now?
