I have a few whitebox machines running XP Pro, SP1. Lately, users have been
complaining that the D: (cdrom) is not in My Computer. If I restart the
copmuter it then appears. There is nothing in the event viewer. Any
suggestions??

Intel celeron motherboard, 52X Aopen cdrom (not a burner). This is happening
on several identical machines.

group policy is being applied but I am not restricting the D drive, and like
I said, it appears after a reboot.
