Have a computer that we would like to lock from other than
specific use. In order to do this we need to disable the
alt-f4, alt-enter and the windows logo key. Any help
would be great.

Thanks

John

I would start with the Group Policy applet to see if it does what you want.
I know you can disable the shutdown facility for users. This will cause
Alt-F4 to pop up an error box. I don't know if you can disable the Windows
key, but you can effectively disable/hide the start menu. From a command
prompt enter "gpedit.msc" and look at User Configuration->Administrative
Templates.

Windows Key - Disable the Windows Key

Start/Run/Regedit
Create a new Binary value, or modify the existing value, called 'Scancode
Map' and edit the value according to the settings below.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\
Keyboard Layout. Value Name: Scancode Map, Data Type: REG_BINARY (Binary
Value), Value Data: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C
E0 00 00 00 00

A REG (Registry) file that will make this change for you can be downloaded
**here**. Save the file to your hard drive and double click it. Answer yes
to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by right clicking
the file and selecting Edit.
