Disabling Search Assistant Assistance

I cannot seem to get rid of the annoying "search assistant" pop-up window on
the left side of my IE6 page. This window appears on MOST searches when run
from either the Yahoo! or Google search fields on the main window.

I have set the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main
Use Search Assistant value to NO. However this has not stopped the annoying
appearance of the "search assistant".

Anyone have any additional suggestions?
