Disabling firewall

      10th Aug 2004
When I attempt to disable the XP firewall, I get a message
saying that Windows cannot dispaly the properties of this
connection. The Windows Management Instrumentation
information might be corrupted. Any suggestions on how to
disable the firewall any other way or on how to fix this?

SW,

Below is the Microsoft KB article that relate's to this issue, it also has
some suggested fixes for it:

"The Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Information Might Be Corrupted
(when accessing Advance Networks Tab).
