I want to turn off Autoplay on my laptop.

XP SP3

When I Run "gpedit.msc" I get the Group Policy editor.

I choose Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates - I don't see a
System Folder (all that's viewable is a folder Windows Components).

What do I need to do to see the System Folder in the Group Policy Editor to
view the Turn Off Autoplay icon so I can "Enable" the "Disable Autoplay".

While on the GPO Control panel try this:
Exapnd:
[- ] Computer Configuration
[-] Administrative Templates
[-] System
Look in the right pane/window for : Turn Off
Autoplay and configure to your liking!

My problem is that once I'm in the GPO Control Panel I don't see a System
Folder once I've expanded the Administrative Templates folder the only
folder that is viewable is "Windows Components".

Make sure this machine is clean by scanning for both malware and viruses.
Also log in as or with Administrative privileges not a limited user accounts
to do the changes.

Open the Group Policy Editor (Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc).
Under Computer Configuration, right click on Administrative Templates.
Select Add/Remove Templates from the menu.
Note: You can also click on Administrative Templates so it's highlighted and
click on the Action menu on the toolbar to gain access to Add/Remove Templates.
In the Current Policy Templates box of Add/Remove Templates you should see the
following five templates listed.

conf
inetres
system
wmplayer
wuau

Click on the Add button if any are missing.

Once you've got the default templates added you should be able to access the
System settings.
