I am on SBC DSL and after trying to clear some space on my
computer drive (probably deleted some critical stuff), I
am no longer able to open Internet Explorer. I tried to
download a new copy to reinstall and microsoft.com won't
all me to since it sees a newer version on my computer.
I've tried removing all known versions, uninstalling, etc.
but I still get the same error. My DSL works ok after
reinstall but I prefer IE to SBC Yahoo browser because I
have important stuff in "Favorite Places"

Any suggestions?

Maybe you just removed the shortcut to Internet Explorer. Look to
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe for the shortcut. Copy it
to the desktop and you should be able to open IE. Of course, if you look in
Program Files and don't see the Internet Explorer folder in the first place,
you are in trouble.
