I would like to disable taskbar tooltips, like the
balloons for new wireless network available, windows
update, etc etc. I noticed a similar post below but it
was not answered on how to disable. I found a local group
policy setting called "remove balloon tips on start menu
items" this was under user config, admin templates, start
menu and taskbar. However the explanation is only SOME of
the tips will be disabled. The new wireless network still
pops up. There has got be a way to disable all tooltips
in the taskbar. Thanks and I appreciate and replies.

Get TweakUI from the Microsoft website. Just do a search
for it. you can find the setting in there.

How To: Turn off the Balloon Tooltips and Pop-ups

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Advanced/Uncheck Popup
Descriptions for Folder and Desktop Items.

TweakUI/Taskbar/Uncheck Enable Balloon Tips

Disable Balloon Tips or Disable All (Row 11)

Disable All includes: Balloon Tips, Folder Contents Info Tips, Explorer

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
