When I try to exit Outlook 2003, it performs send/receive action, I would
like to know how to disable send/receive action on exit? can any one help me?

Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Setup-> button Send/Receive

Tools > Send/Receive > Send/Receive Settings > Define Send/Receive groups.

menu: TOOLS / OPTIONS / tab: MAIL SETUP / button: SEND/RECEIVE / unmark
checkbox: "Perform an automatic send/receive when exiting"
