I was wondering if it is possible to disable printing (print button and
File > Print) for certain sites? Perhaps per zone?

The reason is - We have an intranet which is going to display sensitive
data that can be viewed but we would rather it was not printable.

Thanks,
Euan

Don't think you can do what you want - that is to disable printing just for
certain sites via a browser setting.

You could code the pages in question to make them difficult to print:
http://codingtips.blogspot.com/2004/...-web-page.html

Or you could use a third-party application to help render those pages more
difficult to print/copy:
http://www.htmlpassword.com/
http://www.antssoft.com/htmlprotector/
http://www.qesign.com/software/html-protection.shtml
http://www.aezsoft.com/webpageguard.html
(as examples - there may be better ones out there)

Or you could have the info put into .pdf (Acrobat) format and set to
disallow printing - but there are hacks on the web that allow a user to get
around that, too. Screen capture programs would be hard to defeat, too.

So, basically, if you don't want someone to copy the info.....don't put it
out there in the first place. <g>
