I trying to install a HP PSC1300 series printer. I have
windowsXP Home. Every time I start up my PC I get New
hardware found and then I get a message that can not
install this hardware it is already install. The message
will not go away. The printer seems to be working fine.
The printer is a USB printer. Is there a way to disable
plug and play. or is there a way to handle this problem
please help

The New Hardware Wizard May Detect the Printer Device After Every Restart of
the Computer

[[SUMMARY: The situation above can occur when the printer driver does not
use the Plug and Play method of installation (for example, the OEM
installation was used, or the driver was installed using the Start/Run area
in Windows). When the New Hardware Found message appears after the printer
driver installation, it does not mean the printer driver was not
successfully installed. The Windows Plug and Play feature needs a
response. ]]
