I want to disable mouse shadow in the windows 2000 login
screen. How do I do this?

To disable Mouse Shadowing from the logon screen

Open regedit
Go to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Desktop
Right-click on the UserPreferenceMask and choose Modify
Change the Data Value to 30 10 00 80
Hit OK and close regedit
