Disable logging!

I do have a problem with the standard log files of windows xp, which
causes me a serious headache. It uses NT - core, so there is a chance
someone here may help me.

Every system hive (SOFTWARE, SYSTEM,
SECURITY,...) in %Systemroot%\%System32%\config gets logged in the
same directory with the corresponding file name (SOFTWARE.log,
SYSTEM.log, ...). I do have to change either the location of the log
files or (this would be even better) disable this logging of the
registry. I searched the whole registry and of course there I can
change the location of the hives, but not the log files.

Any help would is thankfully accepted, because I am running out of
ideas and it got to be fixed until monday (which causes me even more
headache).

Best regards

Roberto Hofer

PS: I have also posted in other groups. Sorry for this, but damn itīs
really important.
