I'm sure this asked before but I've had no luck goggling for it. How can I
disable IE6? I'd like Admin to still be able to access it, but if not, that
's OK. We want to setup a Win2000/SP4 system that has IE locked because the
user(s) are going to remote in via Citrix. Basically they will have a Citrix
shortcut on their desktop and that's it. we are going to lock out everything
else with he local group policy. The systems will still need Internet access
for virus updates and Windows updates.

What do you mean by "LOCKED"? You can control who can
access the internet by using group policy. IE6 is used by
the operating system to browse your system resources
therefore you can not totally disable it. Are you a member
of a DOMAIN?

No, these system will be in a workgroup. They will

connect to our domain via Citrix. All I want to do is

disable IE6, not internet access because the system

would need to connect the MacAfee & MS for

updates. I guess what I mean by LOCKED is we will configure

the local GP so that they could do very little expect launch the

Citrix shortcut, we don't want them doing anything in Windows. Is

there a GP or Local Security policy to disable IE (only), if so I didn't see
it?

TIA,

Joe
