Is it possible to disable some of the function keys on the keyboard? If it,
how?

Hmmm are you refering to a keyboard that has keys for things like mail and
internet explorer? If you are and you installed software that came with the
keyboard try uninstalling it. This software usualy enable these.

You could map them to the shift key or something
