Disable full screen command prompt

Hello,

We have a DOS app that we run on Windows and we remotely administer the
Windows computer using VNC. We have told the users several times not
to run the app in full screen mode, however, they continue to do so.
When they do this, it causes VNC to come back with an error message.
Is there a way that I can disable the full screen mode so that they can
no longer do this and lock us out?

Thanks

One idea would be to use a keyboard remap program to disable the
Alt-Enter keystroke. To prevent them from modifying the shortcut that
starts the app, change its permissions.

Perhaps simply setting up the shortcut so the app window is nearly
maximized for the screen resolution would keep them from wanting to
make it "largest" ("Full Screen") in the first place. ?

In VNC do you have an option to run a batch file on connection? If
so, then one could revert the application window from Full Screen to
windowed automatically perhaps. (I know too little of VNC however).

Which VNC version? Here, with TightVNC 1.2.9, a full screen console just
appears as black and does not produce any error message; what's more,
just pressing Alt+Enter will as expected return the console into a
windowed mode.

What client o/s is being administered? I would recommend using RDP instead
of a third party remote control product. There is no reason why the client
users need to see what you are doing in the way of administration.
