Win-XP
How do I remove or disable Flash ?
I've checked all the Internet Explorer options and
Add/Remove programs, and the KnowledgeBase... don't see
anything.
Flash advertisments are getting soooo obnoxous, I'm ready
to drop the whole Flash functionality.
[Yes, you can R-click on the Ad and turn off Loop &
Play...but that dosn't always work, and it too much
trouble.
Other suggestions ?

Several ideas to try ( in increasing order of cost/effort)

1) In Internet Exploer > tools > internet options >
advanced and uncheck "play animations in web pages"

2) download an pop-up blocker such as EMS free surfer
which includes a flash blocker

3) purchase a firewall such as Norton personal firewall
which can be configured to stop flash

Get the program from http://flashswitch.com/

"FlashSwitch is a utility to turn Macromedia ® Flash T playback on and off.
Residing in the system tray of user's desktop, it enables or disables Flash
content display in Internet Explorer at the user's choice."
