How to disable DSL connection from tray icon in Power User account

I want to be able to disable my DSL modem via the tray Local Area Connection
icon. But the Disable button is deactivated because I am using DSL from
within a Power User account, not an Administrator account.

My question is, what do I need to do to activate the Disable button on the
Local Area Connection window so I can disable and enable my DSL connection
via the software from within a Power User account instead of only by powering
on or off my DSL modem?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Bob
