How do I disable the use of the cmd on windows 2000/XP to allow only certain
account to use the command prompt?

Find cmd.exe in the winnt\system32 directory. Right-
click and choose properties. Go to the Security tab.
Edit the group and user window to reflect who you want to
have access. Now highlight those that need to open the
prompt and make sure "read and execute" is checkmarked
in the rights management window.

Get rid of or do the same for any other copies of cmd.exe
on the machine, like in \I386.
