Hello. Using Excel 2002, how can I disable the clipboard to keep popping up
when I copy a cell?

Un-check the 'Show Clipboard Automatically' option but still opens everytime
I make a copy.

Better yet, is there a way to uninstall that feature at all?

Thank you very much.

It may help if you also select 'Collect Without Showing Office Clipboard
Automatically'

Ah! I too am plagued by this in Office 2003, but cannot find these options.
Where do they reside, please? (I've looked on the Tools | Options tabs in
Excel, and Word, but so far my search has been in vain)

Thank you

David

I haven't installed Excel 2003 yet, but in Excel 2002, choose
Edit>Office Clipboard. The Option button is at the bottom left of the
Clipboard Task Pane.

Debra

Many thanks.

In Office 2000 Pro, from which we (regrettably) migrated there is no such
menu item under Edit, so I never thought of looking there.

Problem solved!

Thank you again

David

Hi Debra,

please try the following and see if that helps.

1.Quit any programs that are running. 2.Click Start, and then click Run. Type regedit and click OK. 3.In the Registry Editor, click to select the following subkey (folder): HKey_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\General
4.On the Edit menu, point to New and click DWORD Value. With New Value #1 selected, type AcbControl, and then press ENTER. 5.On the Edit menu, click Modify. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, click Decimal under Base. Type 1 in the Value data box. Click OK and quit the Registry Editor.
NOTE: To turn on the Office Clipboard, repeat step 5 above, changing the value from 1 to 0.
