Thank you. I looked at the article and it seems to have the information I
was looking for.
Another question, if I may?
I seem to recall that the assignment of drive letters starts with C: as the
primary on the first drive, D: as the primary on the second drive, E:, etc.
as the extended/logicals on the first drive, F:, etc. as the
extended/logicals on the second drive, all assuming that Logical Disk
Manager has *not* been used to alter any drive letters. (This is old bios
knowledge.) Can I assume the same for W2K? (The issue is that I need to
predict what drive letter is going to be assigned "a priori". You can
probably tell that I am trying to troubleshoot someone else's drive, and I
don't want W2K taking *any* action on the drive at startup.) Thank you.
