I have been asked to resolve the following for a new client.

They are using OutLook 2007.
They used to obtain their Email from their old head office using
Exchange with Email address (E-Mail Removed).
These Emails, etc are stored locally on their Windows XP computer.

This remote office has since been sold and is no longer associated
with 'oldcompany.com'.
Now, they are using email that is hosted by their ISP such as
(E-Mail Removed).
As a result, they have two Email addresses in their Outlook.
I have modified the send/receive groups to no longer attempt to use
the (E-Mail Removed).

The problem is that every couple of minutes a message pops up "Allow
this website to configure oldcompany.com settings?"
I have answered 'allow' and 'do not ask me about this website again'
as well as 'cancel' and 'do not ask me about this website again'.
In either case, the message continues to pop-up frequently.

I have tried to delete the Email address '(E-Mail Removed)' but
a warning is displayed that all Email, contacts, etc will also be
deleted.
The client definitely does not want to loose the Email associated with
oldcompany.com.
They also do not want to try to get Email from oldcompany.com.

All assistance is appreciated.

The old account is using cached exchange mode? Export, Archive, or
manually move everything in the old account to a pst file then remove
the exchange account.

For speed, i would probably use Archive then check each folder and move
anything that was not archived (contacts won't archive). Archive will
move the items so it will be easy to see what wasn't moved.

Yes, it is in cache Exchange mode.
So, I should export the contacts and archive the Emails?

Yes, then once you have all the data out of the ost file, remove the
exchange account.

http://www.slipstick.com/problems/ost2pst.asp - any of the methods will
work. Just make sure you have all the data you need before you remove
the account.
