Have usb drive that has succumbed to the dirty bit horror. i can't
defragment it because it is supposed to be chkdsk'ed. I use chkntfs /x
k: and it no longer tried to chkdsk it at boot time but, apparently, the
bit is still set so I can't defrag it.

Is there some way to actualy reset the bit rather than just ignore it at
boot time? (Other than run the chkdsk... it's a 300 drive and would take
hours to do a chkdsk 5)

Thanks

John
