I downloaded and played the Dirt 2 demo on the X-Box last night.

Maybe it's me but I thought it was really hard.

After about five go's I was getting decidedly better though.

Funny things, racing games, I don't want a game to beat me up, I just wanna enjoy myself.

Which is probably why I prefer most of the NFS franchise and Motorsport Forza 3.

Probs not in the demo but FWIW, you can drop the difficulty level in the full game if you wondered.

I already did

Hey, I'm not that good at racing games

Steering wheel makes a difference but I have yet to find an economically priced good steering wheel. That works well in Win 7.

Ok, I know it's the Xbox, and I know MS have aimed lots of the games at kids, but I'm thoroughly enjoying Forza Motorsport 3. The difficulty levels in Forza are realistic, I set it on easy and I couldn't help but win, so I've gone up a level.

Having said all that, the dynamics and graphics in DIRT 2 are superb.

I love racing games.

But I've come to the conclusion that without a decent steeing wheel on a PC they is hard work.

On my Xbox360, however, a gamepad is quite acceptable, it works well for racing games.

Which is why I've given up racing games on PC (I am not paying 300 quid + for a frickin' steering wheel )

And now I only play racing games on Xbox, actually quite enjoyable.

Maybe when Dirt 3 costs only £12.00 (which it will) I'll buy it.

Why pay 30-40 for now, the game will be just as enjoyable in 9 months time as it is now, unless, of course, you suffer from true nerd status where you just gotta have it NOW.

I don't, fortunately, which means I spend less on games but truly have just as much fun.

Those publishers absolutely love those who want it NOW, that first flourish is their greatest profit.

Their game will be just the same in everything but price in nine to twelve months time
