Hi,
I have a seriouse problem installing DirectX. The installation starts
properly but towards the enc it gives me an internal system error, asking me
to look in the WINDOWS folder at the DXError and DirectX files for further
details.
To be honest I have no idea what to do. If someone could help I would
appreciate it. I can also copy the info from the 2 files if it is needed to
understand what the problem is

thanks for the response. I just looked at the info you sent me, but I cannot
find the error message I'm given, so it might be something different.

Seems like you don't have administrative prvilegies to install DirectX.
Are you logged in as an administrator?

Try to shutdown your Anti Virus software along with the Anti Spyware
programs, or any similiar you have.
If that won't help, try to install it in the safe mode.

DirectX 9.0c is part of XP service pack 2.
Microsoft does not support XP service pack 1 since Oct 10, 2006.

I have SP2, but all the PC games I tried to install, require me to first
install DirectX, meaning that they do not find it or at least do not
recognize it as properly functioning on my Laptop, so for some reason I
either do not have it or ... who knows
