When i try to access directplay from the network tab in dxdiag, i get a
fatal exception error message :-

a fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:E238DFA7 in VXD
BASIC2(01)+00003477
the current application will be terminated.

I am unable to play games on my network, the only thing i am able to do is
share files between the linked pc's

info:
win98se
directx version 9.0 (4.09.0000.0900)
pentium3 550mhz

Any help will be much appreciated.
