We are in the process of converting from Novell 4.11 to
Windows 2000. In this process we have developed a snag
with regard to copying data from our Novell server to a
win 2000 (SP4)SAN attached file server. When we are
required to copy the existing Directory structure to the
Windows server we experience file copy failure at about
ten directories deep and long file names.
Are their limitations to the depth a file copy can be
accomplished,are we exceeding the capacity of this
function or should we use some othre utility? Any advice
is appreciated.

The File Allocation Table (FAT) for MS-DOS, and NT File System (NTFS) file
systems are usually limited to 255 characters in a path.
