Hello all,

I have recently encountered a problem trying to delete
about 4 folders from my computer. I cannot access them,
delete them or even move them to a different drive
(however I can rename and move the folders within their
drive). Is there any way I can delete them?

I have tried using del, erase, rd (with the switches to
remove all subfolders), deltree over the network (as XP
does not have deltree). I cannot move them to the recycle
bin either. I have run dskchk, which recovered most the
files from within the folders, but found no errors with
the drive itself, even with a surface scan.

Any help would be much appreciated as these folders are
getting quite annoying.

Thanks,

David Thorpe

Dave,

Try going to http://www.gibinsoft.net/gipoutils/ and downloading a freeware
called "GiPo@MoveOnBoot. It will allow you to copy, move, rename, or delete
any file on your computer the next time you boot. But be careful. Doing any
of this to certain files may cause your computer to have problems and could
keep your computer from booting entirely.
