Hi:
This is for what I have done for your reference.
(1) Move your database file to hosting service folder and create a DSN (or
DSN-less) connection at your hosting service. This allows your pages stored
at your hosting service folders to assess the database connection to the
database file in their folder. You need to check with them for if and how
to set up that connection and where to put the database folder.
(2) You can edit your page with opening the site at hosting service and then
create database link to the connection made in (1). Alternatively, I set up
a testing local site mimic the hosting service and do the development work
before moving them to hosting site. But my local environment is not exactly
the same as the hosting environment so I often encountered some minor
problems, in which case, doing directly in the hosting environment seems to
be the best way for my case.
However, we will try to set up a real local server environment in the future
to avoid that practice.
Good luck!!!
