directcd as a warning message

On booting there is an annoying warning message of " 'Directcd' will cause
windows to become unstable....".

How can I unistall or what ever to get ride of this annoyance. It coesn't
show up on the normal uninstall

It's part of the Roxio burning software you have installed. You'll find it
in Add/Remove Programs as something like "Roxio DLA". Uninstall it from
there.

Likely your machine has an older version of Easy CD Creator. The
DirectCD is a component of that software that is known to cause
issues. If you check Add/Remove programs there should be a Easy
CD Creator entry. Instead of Remove you can choose "Change" &
once the installer loads specifically remove the DirectCD components
from your install.

No disernable entry in add remove list (directcd, roxio dla). Can there be
another source?

And potentially for any packet writing stuff, like InCD for Nero, DirectCD
for EZCD, etc, etc. I think it's safest to just skip the packet-writing
stuff, and only use the DAO (Disk At Once) burn mode, and then chuck the CD
and make a new one when its time to "update" it.
