on my hardware diagnostics it reads hardware accelerated direct3D 9+ display driver does not support it
Display driver does not support API (DDI version too low).where do i download a new driver and do i need too
this may be my problem of not being able to install the sims.please help.

Without the information on the make/model/manufacturer of your video card,
we can not guide you to the latest display drivers. Check on your video
card manuafcturer's web site to find the latest drivers.

you download the latest driver from your video card
manufacturers website. make sure you uninstall your
previous drivers.

yes its a good idea to update your video card drivers
frequently. the newer versions have fixes and
optimizations which speed up your video card and can be
quite helpful. plus you need the latest drivers for the
newer games that come out.
