Can anyone help?

After downloading Direct Ver. 9.0 from Windows Update I
now get an error message appearing when I play some
games, the messages are as follows:

First message - Unable to find suitable graphic device.
Try changing video resolutions - This was done for all
resolutions available to me.


Second message - Unable to Initialize Graphics Engine.

Third Message - [giStartup::WinMain]:Intialization
Failure. Press OK to terminate application.

After this I cannot start my games. Is there anything I
can do apart from unistall Direct X Ver 9.0?

Try reinstalling your video card drivers.

>i have been trying to find direct x!!!! i downloaded it
but it then all my USB ports shut down, and i can not get
them working. could you tell me how to uninstall it!
