Hi,
I downloaded the latest Microsoft direct x November and chose to save to my
desktop.

It placed approx 50 folders with "c" cabinet on them all different dates,
and a couple of DLL. on my desktop.

What have I done wrong and where should I have placed them and do I need
them all? I am completely baffled.

You downloaded the "redistributable" version,even so,locate the icon
"direct x setup" & run it,or delete all & get the end user version.
