Before I went to bed last night I downloaded the latest version of DivX
This morning I find I'd downloaded Direct X instead. Red wine bad!

My C Drive front page is full of stuff from Direct X.
How do I uninstall it, I cant see an uninstaller.

If I'd needed it I would have installed it by now,
If I ever do need it I'll make sure the package goes into the one
folder.

As provided by Microsoft there is no uninstaller for DirectX one you install
it. Others have written programs that will do it - search Google for DirectX
Uninstall (or Dx Uninstall)

Just for the record, what I downloaded was Direct X 9.0C Aug 2006.
I didnt describe that too well either.

that's fine, I'd leave it. to "tune" it properly you should run the
dxdiag.exe tool, and walk thru all the tests.

as for "My C Drive front page is full of stuff from Direct X", you need to
describe that a bit more, sounds fishy. are they left-over installer
files? I haven't seen that before...
