How do I check what version of directx I have ? its not in add remove. How do
I know if directx 9 is compatible with my drivers. I have windows xp sp2

Go to Start -> Run -> type dxdiag and press enter.

The version number is displayed at the bottom of the window that will open.

Typically it will be compatible, but if the drivers or the hardware itself
is compatible with games themselves is another thing. 8-) Are you having
any specific problems?

Yes I am paul thank you. I opened a game I downloaded to realarcade to play
and it froze my comp and it restarted itself . on rerstart and loading a
message came up stating serious error and when I said report the window
opened and said caused by unknown driver. I still don't get the version
thing. do u mean when the game window opens? what window? thx a bunch Debbie

Paul I found the driver version I simply didn't see that part of your message.
