I have installed Direct x 9.0 in my computer and it says
on the windows update that it was sucessful. The Direct x
keeps showing up on my desktop after it's shut off. I
cant get rid of it and it will not install. Dont know
what to do can anyone help me?

Consider yourself lucky if the only problem that you have is just seeing the direct x logo. Many games and other software will not work properly once DirectX 9.0 is installed. You may already have video drivers and other software which are not compatible with DirectX 9.0. You will be unable ti uninstall it! I would suggest a reformat and a reinstall of windows. There is no compelling reason to upgrade to Direct X 9.0 unless you enjoy experiencing hardware and software glitches.
