Hello:
I'm trying to transfer files between two computers using
the LPT ports and a cable. I have configured the
connections properly and the computers show there
connected. My problem is, how do I start transfering files
from the host computer to the guest computer.

Hi, what you've created is a windows workgroup. Opening
up My Network Places from the desktop should "show" the
other computer. If that is the case, share the files that
you want to transfer on the SOURCE computer so that they,
in turn, appear in My Network Places on the TARGET
computer. Then copy them to you target computer. One
caveat is that both computers have to have the same
Workgroup name ( look under My Computer properties...).
Workgroup is the default name and works fine.

Hi its me again. Disregard the last post as that
necessitates using other media ( Ethernet cable ), I found
this link www.cellarstoneindia.com/
cable_pdf/Direct_Crossover-_Windows_XP_To_Windows_XP.pdf
it looks like it has the answer to your question.
