I am trying to connect my laptop and desktop computers.
Both have Windows xp as their OS. I went through the New
Connection Wizard as directed for each computer, but when
I tried to connect, I was required to enter a password.
WHAT PASSWORD? I never created one. In fact, the
tutorial supplied with the computer said that a password
is not necessary.

HAS ANYONE EVER SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED TWO COMPUTERS VIA
A PARALLEL (OR SERIAL) CABLE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
TRANSFERRING OR SHARING FILES? HOW EXACTLY DID YOU DO IT?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm racking my
brain on this one.
