I have a Dimage Scan Dual III and am wondering whether there's any
updated software which will allow scanning all four slides
simultaneoulsy, rather than one at a time? I have an old version of
Vuescan which isn't working properly...does Minolta have any new
versions of its software?

There is no updated software from Minolta and you would be lucky to get any
sensible response from their tech support( I know this from experience).
I think it would be impossible to scan all slides simultaneously, batch scan
is the best option.
