I have this year old Dell optiplex desktop PC with XP Pro
which has a Intel Pro/1000 MT network adapter built into
the motherboard. Everything was going nice till stupid XP
pro updated itself automatically with the dumb Hotfixes
and Service Packs (SP1) (( like 20 of them)) . Now the
driver that used to be fine for the network adapter is not
digitally signed so XP pro booted the network adapter off
the hardware list when I restart the computer. I have to
reinstall everytime to get around it. At Dell they dont
know anything, XP homepage dont know anything but at Intel
they said it was the Services Packs and to uninstall them.
