The impressive DC Enhancer has some drawbacks: No drag-n-drop support;
it only handles 1 photo at a time; if you save as jpg, you will lose
all EXIF and IPTC data, if any.
It also does not keep your dpi resolution intact. After being saved in
DC Enhancer, an original 300 dpi image showed as 72 dpi in Photoshop .
In PhotoStudio 2k the same image showed as 200 dpi.

ArcSoft PhotoStudio 2k
www.arcsoft.com has an auto-enhance feature but
it is not as good as that of DC Enhancer. PhotoStudio 2k saves the
image resolution, but does not save the EXIF and IPTC data in jpegs.
Irfanview also has impressive enhancement features if you load the
right plugins, and it will keep your resolution, EXIF, and IPTC data
intact.
PhotoStudio 2k is better for image editing, Irfanview better for image
filtering effects. PhotoStudio 2k has an overall friendlier user
interface.
