Digital LA75 Companion printer head bad?!!

I am getting some lighter than other areas while doing some test print-out
on some LA75 printers. I am assuming the print heads are all worn or maybe i
need some new ribbons. Should this be the former i am wondering if someone
can point me to a source for replacement head, or suggest a substitute print
head that can fit.
