Learned from another newsgroup that the above is going to be discontinued.
Here is the announcement from Tom who found it buried somewhere:

"This announcement was buried in another newsgroup note. Thought it needed
to
be more widely known.

Microsoft has announced that it is discontinuing the Digital Image Suite
products. See

http://www.microsoft.com/products/imaging/default.mspx

for further information.

Tom"

Don't know how Tom found out about this but if you like DI and plan to go on
Vista try to get the Anniversary Edition. John Inzer was kind enough to
alert us to a "free with rebate" available at Staples so don't delay if you
want it.

If you click on the link above supplied by Tom you will get the nonsense
that the tools available in DI are available in other Microsoft titles and
in Vista. The idea that Vista has anything of importance available to edit
any photo is absurd. The person who wrote this on the Microsoft site should
be fired.

I guess I can see why Microsoft is dropping DIS. No one commented on your
note in 5 days and only one person commented on my note in 6 days. Seems
like there aren't many people that care about DIS going away.
