My files are ready in FrontPage format. Now I have opened my ISP's home
page, clicked on "help" and then "web space". It says that I need to
transfer my files using a "File Transfer Protocol/ FTP" program. It
recommends WS_FTPLE from a site called FTP Planet.

Will it allow the FrontPage format? Is there a simple way of explaining how
I get my files from where they are now into a web site? The on-line manual
looks a bit complicated, so I don't know what I'm really supposed to do.

It means the FP server extensions are not supportted. Therefore, if you
have any of the components that require extensions, such as forms,
discussion web, guest book, certain types of navigation, etc., They will
not work and you'll have to remove them.

If you don't understand how they require you to use FTP, you need to contact
them.

FrontPage does not have its own "format" - pages are HTML, and HTML is HTML
whatever you use to create it.

Make sure that none of your file-names contain spaces - with FrontPage
change any spaces to the underline character.

If your host (ISP, in your case) provides FrontPage Extensions, then use
Publish from the menu.
Or use publish from the FP menu and use ftp://ftp.domain.com (whatever your
instructions say) as the destination.

Otherwise, there is a rough guide to using WS_FTP LE at
http://www.rxs-enterprises.com/cgi-b...e=998640051#ws
This is specific for BTOpenworld, but just change the information to suit
your host.
