¡Hola!

I own a Socket-7 MoBo (GA-586VX). Once upon a time I had to replace a
quality CPU fan/heatsink-combo having a metal clamp by a replacement
combo. That replacement incorporated a plastik-clamp. It required a
lot of sheere force to be applied to the socket.

Now -- wanting to replace the CPU -- I'd like to dis-mount the
heatsink/fan. I performed forceful attempts by hand, careful to rigid
assaults with screwdrivers as lever, but nothing worked -- the clamp
resists :-/

Is there anyone knowing a trick or strategy? Or is there somebody
having some experience with those clamps? The last solution I see is a
fret saw's blade or some pliers...

Thanks for your help,
