ect) I am intrested in reference a system requirement as Windows XP service
pack 2.....
if I have Windows xp professional edition.... does this mean I have all the
requirements to meet the Windows XP service pack 2 requirements?

-will be taking distance education via web
-would like to use Rhapsody (yahoo)
-my internet service provider uses zonealarm and forcefield
-dsl or broadband internet connection (seperate from using a phone line)

XP Home and Professional are Versions of XP, not Service Pack numbers.
Service Packs are released via Windows update for both versions.
To see what SP you have installed on your XP Pro version, do the following:

Start>Right-click on My Computer>Left-click on Properties>General>It will be
there if you have Service Pack installed, and the number!
We are now up to SP3
