I have Office 2007 (Outlook 2007) on Windows Vista. I am using it to control
3 mailboxes: 1 POP account and 2 MAPI (Windows LIVE) accounts; I use Outlook
Connector. I have two questions:

First question is: When Outlook starts, it always as for my login
information. Even if I check the box “Remember me” like I do with the POP
account, it still asking me for the information if I restart Outlook. Is
there a way so that it will retain the information and log me in
automatically?

Second question: when a new mail arrives in my POP account, it notifies me
with a sound and an icon in the tray. It seems that I can’t do that with my
MAPI accounts. Am I missing something in the set-up of Outlook?

Thanks.

It should. If it doesn't, it may be an anomaly in the password retention
feature. See if this helps:

If the Live Mail folders that aren't the default delivery location Outlook
can't notify you. Even if they are, I'm not sure it can.
