What is the practical difference between the Form
events "Activate" and "Got Focus"?

Practically speaking, not much. The Activate event occurs before Got Focus.

Gary,

Practically speaking, a lot! When you open a form, the GotFocus event
doesn't happen at all, whereas the Activate event does. In any case,
when the focus moves to an already open form, the Activate event
always occurs, but the GotFocus event only occurs if the form has no
enabled controls, which is in my experience an unusual thing.
