Didn't receive all messages

I'm using Outlook 2007. When I started Outlook it said "Receiving message 50
of 50" but I only ended up with 28 new messages. All my incoming emails
either go into my Junk folder or my Inbox folder (3 of the 28 were in the
Junk folder and the other 25 in the Inbox folder). Any ideas where the rest
of the messages might be?
