I just installed VS.NET 2003 as an update to the initial version of VS.NET I
had. When I look at the About under Help it shows as

MS Development Environment 2002 - Vers 7.0.9466

and

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 - Vers 1.0.3705

Is this right for VS.NET 2003?

I think I solved my own problem. I thought installing VS.NET 2003 would
overlay the previous version. Not so. I found the startup file for VS.NET
2003 and that starts the new version.

Question - should I remove the old version? I don't see any reason to keep
it but I don't want to break anything in case there are any shared
resources?

Wayne,
Both VS.NET 2002 & VS.NET 2003 can exist on your machine without effecting
each other.

If you have no need to keep VS.NET 2002 around, you can safely uninstall it.

Hope this helps
Jay

Hi Wayne,

Jay and Oren are correct. In addition, I'd like to recommend you the
following article:
